About Me

I learned to sew from my mom when I was a young girl. Both my mom and my grandmother were very crafty, sewing clothing and knitting and crocheting for me, my siblings and my cousins. (Lots of matching outfits at the holidays!) So it seemed only natural to gravitate towards something creative. I made my first quilt when I was about 12 and while I eventually also made clothing and things like curtains and pillows and Halloween costumes for my kids, I found that I kept coming back to quilting.

I love everything about quilting and I especially love that I get to work in a quilt store! My background is in accounting, so you will usually find me in the back office at Quilters Quest, keeping track of inventory and processing orders, but I also love working the floor, helping customers find just the right fabric to complete their project and seeing what they have created. The only problem is that my own project list just gets longer and longer!

I have been married to Eric for 23 years and have three children, two of whom are in college now. When I’m not busy thinking of quilting, planning my next quilt or actually quilting, you can usually find me running some errand involving one of my kids, reading a book, doing yoga or traveling.
