Easy Cork Zippered Pouch

This boxed zippered pouch is a perfect beginner project with cork because there is no lining. It makes an easy gift for guys and girls for shaving supplies. makeup, sewing notions, small toys or anything else. Finished size 7” wide, 4” high, 4 1/2” deep. After you have made one you can adjust size of cork and create any size you like.
You will need a piece of cork 12” by 27” and #5 zipper 16” or longer. You can purchase your own cork and zipper. OR purchase a $24 kit with cork & zipper from me. You will choose your favorite from my “extensive!” cork and zipper collection on the day of the class. You will pay for this kit at the time of registration for the class.
Directions will be handed out at the class. No need for any advance preparation.
I suggest you bring several colors of thread – tan, black, red, turquoise, purple, green so you have one that matches the cork and zipper you choose
We will start promptly at 10 am so please arrive early enough that can select your cork and zipper and have your sewing machine set up, threaded and ready to go!
