Trapunto Star Quilt
"Trapunto" comes from the Italian word to quilt and is used for a method of quilting that adds raised or stuffed sections to give the quilt a 3D feel and appearance. Take a look at this beautiful Trapunto Star quilt. There are three different blocks included in the design. Each block is made in the hoop and then joined together using a regular sewing machine. The backing and binding is also attached using a sewing machine.
In class we will learn how to make each of the three blocks and then discuss how to create a unique arrangement based on the desired size of the final project.
