Strap it UP!
The trend now is to have more than one decorative strap for your bag. We will be making fabulous straps using the Make-A-Strap pattern from Sallie Tomato! Bring a bag that you have already made, or a bag you have purchased that has removable straps and make some new straps for it. Or just come with your supplies and make the straps.
--We will make one basic adjustable strap using 1 ½’ webbing and hardware in supplies.
--We will make a straight strap – this strap doesn’t adjust. If you want a crossbody strap bring 54” of webbing and hardware listed in the supplies
--Then make one hybrid adjustable strap using 1 ½” webbing and hardware listed in supplies. Don’t panic, it’s much easier than it sounds!
We will cut out the pieces for the straps in class. You will need about a 12” x 12 piece of cork that coordinates with your bag.
Just to jazz it up a bit, I’ll show you how to add rivets to your straps. I have the rivet tool. You just need to purchase small rivets from Sallie Tomato.!
WE WILL START PROMPTLY AT 10 AM SO COME EARLY ENOUGH TO BE ALL SET UP AND READY TO SEW.
