To prep for hat class, download the pattern from Sew Hungry Hippie - Measure your head to determine the hat crown size you need, then decide which brim you want. Cut out the pieces for the just the crown size and brim you want, match the hexagons, tape together and then cut out. You will have 3 pattern pieces. Save the rest for making different size hats. I recommend you choose the medium or large hat. The small hat is harder to sew because of small curves.

COME TO CLASS WITH THE EXTERIOR FABIC AND LINING CUT AND FUSED TO SF101 AND PELLON FUSIBLE FLEECE 987 FOLLOWING DIRECTIONS ON THE PATTERN PIECES

Hints: Ironing the SF101 and fleece may take an hour. Follow ironing directions, use a damp pressing cloth, don’t slide iron, pick up and move iron. Let ironed fabric cool before moving. This will make your SF101 secure and smooth.
