The Art of Cartonnage! Single Fabric Box, Kit 104

Drop by Quilter’s Quest to see a few finished projects on display. The first class that will be offered is the Single Fabric Box Kit 104. This class is a beginner’s class that will teach you the basics of box making. The skills learned in this class will be used in every cartonnage project. These learned skills set you up for success with future Cartonnage projects.

The Single Fabric Box can be used to hold pencil and pens, flowers, and sewing supplies. It is a simple style that can add pizazz to any table top. The dimensions of the box are 3 ¾ x 3 3/4 x 4 ¾.

The fee for this kit is not included in the class fee. Please purchase your kit before coming to class.

When you come to your class - bring the following:

- 2 fat quarters fabric or more for more variety in your project
- snips
- scissors
- 3x12 ruler
- heavy book or object to weigh down your project
- rotary cutter
- cutting mat - Can be a smaller one - 12x18


Fabrics that you will want to avoid for this project are directional fabrics and fabrics that could bleed.   If you are worried about bleeding, wash and dry your fabric first.   Do not use solid fabric like Kona to get a successful outcome. Try using Grunge or other fabric that reads like a solid.
