Robin Bonaguro

About Me
My name is Robin Bonaguro, and I am a longarm quilter here at Quilters Quest. I come from a background of makers: my mother is an accomplished seamstress who worked at Minnesota Fabrics for a number of years. My father, whom I refer to as the “original MacGyver”, is a woodworker and knitter.
Learning from them, I began making doll clothes when I was 7 years old, and my passion for creation grew from there. From garments and costuming to home decor, I love to tackle all kinds of projects. In 2012 I began to make my first quilts, which brought me to Quilters Quest.
In 2015, Longarm Bob took me on as an apprentice on the longarm quilting machines we have here at the shop. Since then, I have learned so much about piecing and quilting from everyone here, and consider myself very fortunate to be able to learn new things every day, while challenging and developing my skills as a sewist.
I grew up here in Woodridge, and after getting married, settled with my family in Naperville. I have been married to my wonderful husband Bob for 28 years, and we have two grown children, Kae and Jonathan, and one big goofy dog, Alaska.
