I have been sewing since high school; garments rather than quilts. When my siblings started having children, l bought quilting kits and patterns and made my nieces and nephews quilts!
When we lived in the Kansas City area, I hand quilted with a wonderful group of ladies at the Legler Historical Barn in Lenexa, KS. They were most inspirational and that is when I started to quilt. I joined a Thimbleberries group at my local quilt store and enjoyed learning new techniques, etc.
My favorite quilts made were a “picture” quilt for my parent’s 50th anniversary and the wedding quilt for my oldest daughter and son-in-law.
In addition to quilting, I also enjoy reading and counted crosstitch. One of the benefits of working at Quilters Quest is that I see beautiful quilts all day and am surrounded by beautiful fabric!
