With the couching inserts, yarns, cords, wool or felt threads can be creatively sewn on to your project. The inserts are to be used with the adjustable ruler foot #72 and are attached to the bottom of the sole of the foot. Thanks to the high-quality material, they are robust and also protect the surface very well when quilting with metallic cords and yarn.
